We are a small family-run business based in rural Wiltshire, crafting functional items and artistic pieces. Much of our work is inspired by nature. Clive has been turning since 2008, he enjoys making things which will be used and enjoyed for years to come. Dawn is responsible for the website and handles the administrative side of things.
Philosophy
Making unique hand-turned items is the antidote to modern, mass-production methods; the wood is carefully selected, it is air- or kiln-dried and then shaped on the lathe. Clive’s approach is to allow the wood to express its own qualities; some items are thin and delicate, others substantial and robust. Pieces often feature natural edges, burrs, knot-holes, spalting, and other naturally-occurring characteristics. Each piece is unique.

Our shop contains many examples of functional and artistic items in a variety of different woods, styles and finishes. Items and sets can also be hand-turned to reflect your personal taste, colour preferences and flair; or you can commission a completely bespoke piece.
